Step by step

Assess and consent
Review medical history, allergies (including to lidocaine), medication, bleeding risk, previous fillers, history of cold sores and the patient’s goals. Explain the expected result, the risks and the possibility of needing hyaluronidase.

Agree the shape and proportion with the patient and mark the lip border and Cupid’s bow.

Remove make-up and cleanse. Apply topical anaesthetic if required.

Inspect the syringe
Check the packaging, seal and expiry. Use the sterile 30G needle supplied or a needle or cannula recommended in the instructions for use.
