RG60: a large-volume hyaluronic acid body filler from Genèse Labs
RG60 is a large-volume, cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) body filler from Genèse Labs, a French company based in Paris. It is listed at 24 mg/mL of 100% cross-linked HA in a monophasic gel, with no lidocaine and BDDE (the cross-linker) at less than 0.2 ppm. It is supplied as a 60 mL vial.

What each component does
Cross-linked hyaluronic acid, 24 mg/mL
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar found naturally in skin and connective tissue, where it binds water. In a filler it is cross-linked with BDDE so that it lasts longer than natural HA before the body breaks it down. RG60 is listed at 24 mg/mL in a monophasic gel.
No lidocaine
RG60 is supplied without lidocaine. Practitioners choose their own anaesthesia.
Residual BDDE

Step by step

Assess and consent
Review medical history, allergies, medication, bleeding risk, previous body fillers or implants and the patient’s goals. Explain the expected result, the risks, the limits of regulatory approval for body use and the possibility of needing hyaluronidase.

Plan the treatment
Agree the area and volume. Map the anatomy and vessels at the site and mark the treatment area.

Prepare the skin and product
Cleanse the skin and use the anaesthesia you choose, as the product contains none. Inspect the vial and seal and draw up aseptically. Do not mix with other products unless the instructions for use say so.

Inject as taught
Use the cannula or needle, route and depth stated in the instructions for use and your training. Inject slowly with low pressure. Do not inject into blood vessels. Stop at once if the patient reports unexpected pain or you see blanching.

Review
Assess the result and plan follow-up according to the area treated. Any further treatment is a clinical decision.
Administration notes
Know the risks of the area. Large-volume filler can cause vascular occlusion, infection, nodules and gel migration. If the skin blanches or the patient reports severe pain, stop injecting, and follow your vascular occlusion protocol with hyaluronidase immediately available.

- Do not re-sterilise the product.
- Do not inject into infected, inflamed or broken skin.
- Dispose of needles and cannulas into a sharps container in line with local clinical waste rules.
After treatment
- Swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising are common and settle over days to weeks
- Follow the post-treatment advice in the instructions for use and your clinic’s protocol
- Seek urgent review for severe pain, blanching, skin colour change, fever, spreading redness or a lump that grows or becomes tender
Storing and handling RG60
Store at 2 °C to 30 °C, protected from direct sunlight, as stated in the instructions for use. Do not freeze.
Keep the vial in its original packaging until use. Check the seal and expiry. Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
Single patient, single session. Do not re-sterilise, retain or reuse any remainder.
Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the expiry date has passed. Dispose of used vials, syringes and needles as clinical waste in line with local requirements.
